In the framework of the GEAR-UP! Project (co-funded by the EU DEAR Programme), the Adriatic Ionian Euroregion is pleased to launch a Public Notice to Support Global Citizenship Education.

“PUBLIC NOTICE FOR GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION PROJECTS – Project GEAR-UP! – Reference: EuropeAid/173998/DH/ACT/Multi” – European Commission’s DEAR (Development Education and Awareness Raising) Programme.

The project GEAR-UP aims at realising Global Citizenship Education (GCE) actions related to sustainable development, with a special attention to  participation and engagement of young people through financial support to Third Parties.

Global comprehensive challenges and the new global strategies ask for new requirements and a holistic view on  citizenship. For this reason, the proposed project aims to give a contribution for an active citizenship which demands  for an adaptation and negotiation of its local aspects linked to participation, social, environmental and political  responsibility or issues of local coexistence.

Through this Public Notice, small and medium sized regionally and/or locally  operating LAs and CSOs, which face financial and administrative difficulties applying for EU funds, will be supported  by sub-granting and capacity building and networking activities.

The SECOND ROUND of funding is open exclusively to potential candidates from Albania and North Macedonia.
