The President of the Adriatic-Ionian Euroregion and Head of the Tirana Region, Aldrin Dalipi, together with Secretary General Francesco Cocco, participated in the international conference Advancing Together for a Smarter, Greener and Fairer Mediterranean: Perspectives for Cohesion and Resilience in Our Region(s) organized by Dialogue4Innovation under the Interreg Euro-MED Programme. The conference took place on 18 June in Bologna, Italy.

The event brought together representatives of European institutions, regional authorities, and partner organizations to discuss the role of regional stakeholders in strengthening economic cohesion, accelerating the green transition, and promoting more inclusive development across the Mediterranean.

During the panel discussion, Aldrin Dalipi shared his vision on the challenges facing the region, placing particular emphasis on the role of young people in shaping future policies. He stressed that young people should be at the heart of decision-making processes and actively involved in initiatives related to innovation, sustainable development, and the green transition.

According to Dalipi, investing in the younger generation and creating opportunities for their participation in international cooperation are essential to building a more competitive, sustainable, and united Adriatic-Ionian and Mediterranean region.
