24 February 2026 – Tirana. A significant institutional meeting took place in Tirana (Albania) between the President of the Adriatic-Ionian Euroregion, Aldrin Dalipi, and Nikola Dobroslavić, Member of the European Committee of the Regions and President of the Assembly of the Region of Dubrovnik and former AIE president.

The meeting provided an important opportunity to discuss the Euroregion’s strategic projects, with particular focus on the priorities of the new Presidency and on strengthening cooperation among the member regions.

During their exchange, the two Presidents reflected on the challenges ahead and reaffirmed the joint commitment as institutional actors who have contributed, over the years, to the establishment and development of the Euroregion.

The year 2026 holds special significance, as it marks the 20th anniversary of the Adriatic-Ionian Euroregion’s foundation in Pula (Croatia). This jubilee year represents not only a moment of celebration, but also an opportunity to relaunch the Euroregion’s strategic vision, reinforce institutional synergies, and promote new initiatives capable of responding effectively to the needs of territories and communities across the Adriatic-Ionian area.

The meeting in Tirana confirms the determination to consolidate the Euroregion’s role as a stable platform for dialogue, cooperation, and sustainable development, fully aligned with European values and the objectives of territorial cohesion and integration.
