In the framework of the GEAR-UP! Project (co-funded by the European Commission under the DEAR Programme), the Adriatic Ionian Euroregion is pleased to announce the launch of a restricted additional call for proposals to support Global Citizenship Education (GCE) actions exclusively for Albanian’s Organisations.
This call follows the “GEAR-UP! Public Notice to Support Global Citizenship Education, 2nd round of funding for Albania and North Macedonia”.
Rationale for the Restricted Call
This additional call is addressed exclusively to applicants from Albania. The decision to launch a restricted call is motivated by the availability of residual financial resources. In order to ensure an efficient and full allocation of the available budget and to maximize the impact of the GEAR-UP! Project, remaining funds are reallocated through this targeted call.
Objectives of the Call
The GEAR-UP! Project aims to promote Global Citizenship Education (GCE) actions related to sustainable development, with particular attention to:
- participation and engagement of young people
- strengthening awareness on global challenges
- fostering active and responsible citizenship
Through this call, financial support will be provided to third parties, namely small and medium-sized Local Authorities (LAs) and Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) operating at local and/or regional level, which may face financial and administrative barriers in accessing EU funding.
Scope of Support
Selected projects are expected to:
- promote Global Citizenship Education initiatives
- address social, environmental, and civic responsibility
- enhance participation and local engagement
- contribute to a broader understanding of global interdependencies
In addition to financial support, beneficiaries will also have access to capacity building and networking activities.
Eligibility
This restricted call is open exclusively to applicants established in Albania, in line with the provisions set out in the Terms of Reference and Application Package.
