Sustainable tourism, innovation, and Mediterranean cooperation were at the heart of the LIBECCIO Final Event, held in Rimini on 23 June 2026.

Funded by the Interreg Euro-MED 2021–2027 Programme and coordinated by the Emilia-Romagna Region, the project brought together institutional and research partners from across the Mediterranean to develop innovative tools supporting the sustainable management of tourist destinations.

Key project results include:

– ETIP, a platform for sharing knowledge and good practices;

– DMSS, a data-driven system supporting strategic destination management;

– Territorial Living Labs, tested in several Mediterranean destinations, including Emilia-Romagna (Italy) and Kotor (Montenegro).

Andrea Di Girolamo, Project Officer at the Adriatic Ionian Euroregion, attended the event on behalf of the Community4Tourism project. During the event, he presented the project’s latest activities and exchanged experiences with participants on sustainable tourism governance and cooperation across the Mediterranean.
