Despite the difficulties generated by the COVID 19 pandemic, the #EURegionsWeek 2020 will take place in October, offering to participants around 500 digital working sessions over three consecutive weeks from 5-22 October. The digital events will cover different topics along the three thematic priorities Empowering Citizens; Cohesion and Cooperation; and Green Europe.

The European Week of Regions and Cities is the annual event organised by the European Commission and the European Committee of the Regions in Brussels during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.

Due to the sanitary situation caused by the pandemic, this year will be the first ever fully digital EURegionsWeek since all working sessions will be online with no physical audience, only speakers will be present in Brussels. Furthermore the key sessions of the EURegionsWeek 2020 such as Political Opening, Political Closing, Citizens dialogues and High level debates will be streamed and broadcasted live. The exhibitions will be replaced by virtual interactive exhibitions with virtual pitchs. EURegionstalks will be organised as a virtual session or will be pre-recorded and accessible online

Different working sessions are focused on the Adriatic Ionian macroregional area, such as:
