The European Commission has launched a public consultation on the future of cohesion policy. The consultation is open until 8 March 2018.

The objective of this consultation is to collect the opinion and views of all interested parties on the EU budget after 2020. The replies will be taken into account when designing comprehensive proposals for the post-2020 Multiannual Financial Framework. The consultation covers the entire spectrum of EU future funding in areas of cohesion; investment, research and innovation, SMEs and single market; migration; security; strategic infrastructure; and values and mobility.

The Commission invites citizens and stakeholders interested in Cohesion policy, including beneficiaries of EU programmes and funds such as national, regional and local authorities, inter-governmental and non-governmental bodies, academic institutions, civil society and enterprises, are encouraged to contribute.

The online questionnaire, accessible in 23 EU languages, is the tool of the public consultation. The questionnaire takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.
