The 2nd Forum of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR), jointly organised by the European Commission and the Hellenic Republic with the support of the EUSAIR Facility point, will take place in Ioannina (Greece) on 11 & 12 May 2017. This event will take stock of the progress and achievements since the 1st Forum held in Dubrovnik in May 2016 and contribute to define the way ahead.

Focus of the 2nd EUSAIR Forum will be Blue Growth in particular and its interrelations with the other EUSAIR pillars: Environmental quality, Sustainable tourism and Connecting the Region.

Stakeholders, potential beneficiaries, academics, entrepreneurs and the local community will find a common ground to exchange ideas, present project proposals and seek sources of funding through the correspondent European programmes and their respective calls. Raising awareness on the Strategy and increasing its visibility are among the main goals of the conference.

The Foreign Ministers and the national authorities responsible for EU funds of the EUSAIR countries, as well as representatives from EU institutions will be among the speakers of the conference. The event provides ample possibilities for networking and represents a great opportunity to reach out to a wide range of stakeholders from the Region, including national, regional and local administrations, the business sector, the academia and the civil society at large.

Registration is open until 3 May 2017. Event description, registration and latest version of the programme are available here
